We sing this song fairly often at the BCM, and to be honest, I didn't just love it at first. It seemed a little slow and awkward to me, and I didn't know it. But a couple of weeks ago, after singing it often enough to be familiar with it and be able to focus on what it says instead of trying to figure out the tune, a line really struck me. When we sang, "So what can I say? What can I do? But offer this heart, O God, completely to You," I pictured myself offering my heart to God...my pitiful, sinful, foolish, wicked, deceitful heart, is all I have to give the holy, perfect, beautiful, loving King of Creation. And He wants it! He treasures it! Then He cleanses it, purifies it, heals it, restores it, fills it with His Spirit...which makes it beautiful like Him. Wow. He is amazing.

I love it when we have moments like that, where God makes His truth stand out to us - so awesome is He!
