This morning as I was getting ready for church, I imagined what the women on their way to the tomb must have felt like. I never really thought about it before, but they weren't on their way to a lovely, green, landscaped cemetary with flowers to lay on a loved ones grave. They were on their way to clean up the bloody body of a loved one who had been flogged, tortured, and crucified. And they had to get past soldiers of the army who had done it to him. Don't you imagine they dreaded going, but grimly went on anyway, out of devotion to Him?
What a contrast was the reality they found--soldiers? Gone! Bloody body? Gone! But not just gone...alive!! Hallelujah! He lives!

He lives indeed! Neat perspective, thanks. Hope you and your family have a blessed week.
Oh, that is beautiful! I'd never thought about it like that before! It just adds to what I read in my Max Lucado devotional 2 days ago, about how he wonders if Mary and Mary stopped at some point along the way to rest and contemplated turning back, and how glad he is that they didn't! I'm glad they didn't, too!
wow that was beautiful. Amazing how God works. I had just finished reading a Christian fiction book and was so touched by it that i was wanting to get back in church. And out of no where i found your blog and read this post. God really does work in mysterious ways.
