The other day as we walked past our buzzing azalea bush, Mikayla said that she liked the flowers but wishes there weren't any bees. I said, "I wonder if in heaven there will be azaleas with no bees..." and it inspired the following poem. Ahem:
In heaven,
There will be roses with no thorns,
Azaleas with no bees,
Hellos with no good-byes,
And dogs with no fleas.
Quit laughing! I know I'm no Chris Tomlin. :D But I had fun. And today at my Revelation Bible study, we read Rev. 21:4--"He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” Which brought to mind a better, if older, song, and I sang it the rest of the day.
"No More Night"
The timeless theme, Earth and Heaven will pass away.
It’s not a dream, God will make all things new that day.
Gone is the curse from which I stumbled and fell.
Evil is banished to eternal hell.
No more night. No more pain.
No more tears. Never crying again.
And praises to the great "I AM."
We will live in the light of the risen Lamb.
...
(I looked for a good video, and found several of David Phelps singing it, but the pictures were a little cheesy to me. You should listen to one if you've never heard it, though.)
Even so Lord Jesus, come quickly!

I loved your little song! Cute!
AMEN!!
I love it too but maybe you could do an additional stanza about summer evenings with fireflies and no mosquitoes...:)
Amen! And I love your poem! One problem with the no more crying thing. I told Chloe this and she said, "But I like to cry. Why can't I cry in heaven?" What is God going to do about her?
