We left the Russian Chapel and drove up more beautiful, winding roads (saw the Austrian border!). We stopped to take pictures of the face in the mountain, and then stopped at the top to just enjoy the wonder of it. I climbed around a little, exploring and taking pictures, but Lauren, Amber, Amy, and Bethany climbed way up to a patch of snow so they could "play" in it! It got chilly and started to rain just as we loaded up to leave.

This is the mountain with the face hidden in it...can you see it? |

Can you see it now? |

How about now? |

One of the climbing, snow-playing girls took this. I'm one of the little people down below! |
 |
You may not be able to see him, but that's a guy on a bike on that road. We saw several! I was impressed. |
 |
See the patch of snow on the right, just above half-way up? That's where they climbed. |
 |
And back down. :) |
We went from there to the town of Bled, which has another castle, and an emerald green glacier lake, and swans, and a delicious dessert called Bled Cream Cake. Oh, it was delightful. So good. We walked part-way around the lake and then had dessert before supper!

The castle is on top of that cliff. |

I loved the look of this old hotel. |

This big old tree was cool, too. (Notice the Sladoled for sale in the background...we skipped it this time for the cream cake.) |
After the amazing cake, J.P. drove us home, which is when I discovered I had left my camera at a coffee shop in Bled. (I got all these pictures off fb) It was pretty late, but we were hungry, so Josh walked us over to a Greek restaurant for Gyros--mmm, good.
