"For Columbus" Day Three--Sunday!

Sunday morning we got up and drove to OH2O, a campus church near OSU. They were packed out! We enjoyed worship and a great message, then were able to have the Lord's Supper with them. It was really special.

After church we drove to a part of the city called German Village to eat at Schmidt's Sausage Haus. It's in a building that started out as a meat packing place in 1868! We got there at 10:45 (they opened at 11) and by 11:25 people were having to wait for a table. I had delicious sauerbraten and ordered a cream puff for dessert...but it wasn't as good as the ones I used to get at the bakery in Cannon Beach, Oregon.

After we ate we drove to the arena district and walked around a bit, getting coffee and wasting time until time for our movie to start. We watched "Tomorrowland," which was pretty good, at one of those theaters that serves food at the press of a button! All we got was popcorn and strawberry lemonade because we were full from lunch, but it was still fun.
I really like the city of Columbus!

We got out of the movie just in time to walk down to the convention center for the Pastor's Conference of the annual meeting of the Southern Baptist Convention. :) The worship music was fantastic!! I felt overwhelmed by the feeling of family among the hundreds of people I've never even met. The speakers were good, too, but by the third one we were ready to go! It was a long but good day.

Columbus looks like it has some charm. I thought the mini-Times Square spot was amusing. I liked the photo tour.
