Epcot part deux

On Wednesday we went back to Epcot. It was a cold, blustery morning--brrr! This is when we bought sweatshirts and started layering and wearing dirty clothes because we were out of clean long sleeves! We rode Fast Track and Mission Space in the morning, and loved them both. Rebecca really loved Fast Track! Then we headed over to the World Showcase again. At World Showcase each country had a "Kidcot" table set up. At the first one the kids went to, they were given a card-stock mask on a paint stirrer to color and decorate. Then each country they visited added a stamp and a die-cut shape. It was free, and fun!

The first country we visited that day was Norway, because we had been invited to a royal ball along with the rest of the princesses. Here are my princesses in front of the castle:
Cinderella's fairy godmother was the first to visit our table. (The girls had fun collecting autographs all week.) (Doesn't Mikayla's fork look elegant sticking out of whateverthatis?)

Then came Cinderella...
Aurora...
Ariel... (she was hilarious--called the girls starfishes and guppies--said her favorite color is blue because it matches Prince Eric's eyes)
and Snow White. (She was good, too--I asked if she had any housekeeping tips, and she said if you can't get your forest friends to help, music makes the job go faster.) Mike insists the princesses were coming to the table to talk to him, not the girls.
Well, he's my Prince Charming!
Our Norwegian waitress brought birthday cupcakes to Jessica and Mikayla. (But I enjoyed the rice cream with berry sauce. mmm)
There were Trolls to fight in Norway, too.
I loved this building in China...and you can see one of the girls' masks...and Mike's pirate Goofy ears!

Mulan was in China, too!

There are no African countries represented, but there's a little area with African drums and face-painting--Mike treated the girls to it! It had warmed up, and the sun was out--it was so relaxing.

Germany was next--loved the buildings here, too.
and feeding the ducks.

Next came America, and while I love America dearly, we also know about it already, so we didn't spend much time here.
Instead we moved on to Japan, where we were fascinated by a candy artist. I should have video taped her--she narrated her creations quite poetically!

Here's her hummingbird.
Morocco was next. We watched the belly dancer...
met Aladdin and Jasmine (notice she's not wearing her belly-showing-shirt, as my girls call it.)
and rubbed lamps to see if genies would come out.

We also ate supper here, using our counter service meal to get Moroccan food which I can't remember the name of. But it was pita like bread with lamb and chicken and some green stuff that looked like parsley and maybe some hummous? With baclava for dessert--that I remember! While I was eating, listening to the music, people walking around and Moroccan decor, I felt like I could be in a Middle Eastern country. But with no danger of bombs or parasites in the water or food. What a way to travel!
We went back to France again, after that, and got to meet Marie, from The Aristocats. She was adorable! She was acting all cuddly and sweet, pawing around like a kitten. She was a good one.
After that we left for "home," and followed some bad advice. We left by boat at the Epcot resorts entrance, then got off somewhere--can't even remember now--and rode the bus to the hotel. It took FOREVER. and ever. And the wind off the water was so cold, and everyone was so tired. Plus Jessica and Mikayla hadn't wanted to eat in Morocco, so they were hungry. So Mike got off the bus at the front desk/food court area, to get them some supper, and we rode on to our room, which was about half a mile away. As we got off the bus we realized that Mike had all the room keys. And did I mention it was cold and windy? Jessica had the good idea to wait for him in the laundry room, which we did until we talked to him on the phone and remembered that, duh, we do have a van! So we drove over to him and got the girls some chicken noodle soup and finally got in our room for some hot baths. What a night!

What a crazy day! I liked Jasmine's "winter" attire. Did you feel dumb talking to the characters or was it fun?
